what’s up, what’s up, what’s up everyone

if you’re listening to this, you’ve just downloaded Common Culture, Vol. V

so, congrats! thank you that’s amazing!

something i wanted to do different for this compilation that all the others

that i wanted to do a little album commentary

i wanted to… kind of go track by track for you

and talk about each song, and maybe each artist

and what i was thinking, why i picked that song and why i liked that song

so…yeah, let’s… it’s going to be relatively uncut

and probably gonna mess up

but, yeah let’s just get right in to it

so basically the first track on the compilation it’s called Ocean Drive

and this song it’s incredible! really really happy that we got this in the compilation

to me… first of all, i found this song in Australia,’cause it was on the radio there

and it’s like a total bomb, it’s a total jam that you’ll listen to

when you kind of like go on a road trip or you go to a beach

it’s incredible, it’s one of my favorite songs that we have on the compilation

the next one it’s called Break the Fall

and this song hits hard, Laura is incredible and i really really really like her voice

i love it, it’s so great.

i don’t know, there’s something about it just makes me want to jam the whole time

and then, let’s move on to the next one.

so this whole compilation it’s totally like a roller coaster

i picked the order of the songs to

take you from high points down to low points very quickly

so it’s constantly changing and constantly kinda

keeping your mood going up and down

and this next one is definitely going from up before and now we are going down

this one is called Ocean Eyes

and i think this is just a beautiful song in general

i really like the lyrics of this one

it’s like so soothing

that’s the total vibe for the whole song

and again i just like totally adore it and i think her voice is incredible

for the next one again another one that’s really down and sad—— All I Wanna Say

and this song has honestly made me cry so many times

the lyrics of the song, there aren’t many lyrics if you listen carefully

but the lyrics of the song are just so sad, so sad

and i tend to listen to the lyrics of a lot of songs really really carefully

but if you listened closely on that one, the lyrics would be very very sad

and it makes me super emotionally

the next one after that it’s called No Sleeping Now

and this one goes back up again

i don’t even think there’s really any lyrics in it

you can’t see but i’m jamming on the other side of this

that’s the third time i said “jam” by the way

that one is another one that you put on in a car and you just…

jam i said it again, you jam, you jam

you just rock out and you can’t help but dance

if you’re driving be careful while dancing and driving

it’s really hard to resist to that one

and the next song after that it’s called Bare

and another one just kind of like Ocean Eyes

that you just kind of feel it and love her voice

and i love the way it sounds and that sounds so fake

but i don’t know there’s something about it just very soothing and calming

and the next one it’s called Hold Ya

and this song is another one lyrically is incredible

it’s really kind of both sad but ***y in a way

i don’t know how they quite accomplish that

something about the like the breathiness of it and the whispering

and it’s… that adds…

i think the lyrics are sad but the breathiness of it makes it ***y

i don’t know i really really really like that song it was really good fine

the next one it’s called Higher

and the high notes this guy can sing are incredible

and it gets me every time, ok i’m just gonna play another clip

‘cause it doesn’t do the job till you heard it

this is one of those songs that you will be trying to belt the high notes

and you turn down the music “wow, i sound horrible compare to this guy”

at least that happens to me, but the high notes in Higher really made me love this song

the next one is called On Fire

again this song i really really like this artist, and i love so much of his music

and again i felt really lucky to get one of his songs in this, and this one is incredible

there’s a part that has… it’s like a roar

and i don’t know it’s really really really really good to listen to

pretty much all the time if you want to get pumped up all that…

i don’t even know what i’m saying to be honest

again, really good song i love this artist, i love like multiple of his songs

so i’m really happy i can get him on the compilation

the next on is called Away from me, we are bring it back up

i’m resisting the urge to sing this entire time by the way

so good, sooooooo good, i love that one

it’s kind of like Break the Fall to me where it’s like

both high but kind of common, i just love her voice

the next one it’s another one that doesn’t have many lyrics

it’s called Body, it kind of like No Sleeping Now

but it has no lyrics really, it’s just a kind of a EDM mix

and i really really like it, again something to listen to when you’re driving

and you just jam… buzz word, OUT!

it pretty much says that the whole time, and just like goes off on this remix

so it’s a great way to kind of pick it up towards the end of compilation

to the final song, called Metaphysical

and this song is again one of my favorites on the whole compilation

it through and through it’s just a great pop song

and i’ve found myself just totally obsessed with it, i can’t stop listening to it

so to end the compilation on such a high note, it’s perfect and very needed!

great voice, great lyrics, great pop song, i love that one through and through

to be honest this whole entire compilation might just be my favorite compilation that i’ve ever compiled

every single song is so key, and every single song i like for a different reason

and i feel like it just kind of somehow works so well together

it has again, like a roller coaster ups and downs, it’s just perfect

i’m in truly obsessed with each and everyone of this songs

i hope you enjoy it, hope you enjoyed me rambling in kind of making sense, in kind of not making sense
