Radio (Album Version)

Chris Akinyemi - Radio

Get up in the morning, im yawning,

Alarm clock woke me up

im hittin on the snooze and

im drooling

dj won't shut up

he said he got a banger, a hot song

sound like the last one

i might as well listen and pay attention

and thought that i should mention

how, what who made that?

it sounds like the same ten songs played back

maybe its my imagination

turn to the next station

what happened to creativity where'd it go

its time for a rude awakening let 'em know

Turn my guitar up and my radio down

the industry needs change and i'ma come now

these so called artists all sound the same

and real music never get no play

everybody want three minutes of fame

one hit wonders are getting lame

this is what makes me feel like

i was born to keep the music alive

i was born to keep the music alive

A instrumental from swizz beats

a couple bars from weezy

and diddy gotta say somthin'

its bad boy baby

if your formula work oh so well

how come y'all cds never sell

phony a&r's in the industry

then you blame it on the economy

all i'm saying is that music is my inspiration

but if its misused and abused then i m ust speak for my generation

what happened to creativity where'd it go

its time for a rude awakening let 'em know

Turn my guitar up and my radio down

the industry needs change and i'ma come now

these so called artists all sound the same

and real music never get no play

everybody want three minutes of fame

one hit wonders are getting lame

this is what makes me feel like

i was born to keep the music alive

i was born to keep the music alive

no more robot singin

no more chicks to make us listen

dropping bombs don't make it hot

mister dj you need to stop

i was born to keep the music alive

i was born to keep the music alive

i was born to keep the music alive

everybody thats down for the cause pick up your phone and call

every radio station and tell them to put something different on

i just don't think its fair

how bs gets on the air ohh ohh

i was born to keep the music alive

Turn my guitar up and my radio down

the industry needs change and i'ma come now

these so called artists all sound the same

and real music never get no play

everybody want three minutes of fame

one hit wonders are getting lame

this is what makes me feel like

i was born to keep the music alive

i was born to keep the music alive...........
